Interested in being a Beat the Odds scholar?
There are two ways to apply for a Beat the Odds scholarship:
1. Apply Online
Start by viewing the online application. Online applicants will submit:
- Personal contact information and demographic information
- Personal statement (500 -1,000 words)
- Academic letter of recommendation
- Personal letter of recommendation
- An electronic copy of your high school transcript in PDF format
- An electronic copy of your parents’ most recent federal income tax form (form 1040 with social security numbers omitted) in PDF format
When you’re ready to apply, email scholarships@stand.org to request a username, password, and instructions for accessing our online system.
Online applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on September 17th, 2010.
2. Apply by Mail
Begin by printing the instructions and application materials:
Mail the application form and two letters of recommendation, along with a personal statement (500 – 1000 words), high school transcript and a copy of your parents’ most recent federal income tax form (form 1040 with social security numbers omitted) to:
